Veto is Tubarina's brother and therefore, the Shark Prince, who is featured in the episode Big Brother.

Character history[]

Veto returns home from boarding school for a few weeks, which attracts attention from his parents and cousin, Marcello, causing Tubarina to feel that she won't be the centre of attention. As the rest of his family fusses over him, Veto bosses Tubarina around, making her feel like a servant.

When Tubarina discovers Veto's letter stating his intention to quit the sports program at school and take up art instead, she decides to blackmail Veto with the letter, saying that she will tell the Shark King about it if Veto does not do what she says, knowing that their father, a sports fanatic, would be angry if he knew about Veto's intention. This is later met with disapproval from Polvina and Ester, who suggest to Tubarina that she give the letter back to him since he has learnt his lesson.

Tubarina goes to do so, only to discover that Veto has already decided to tell his father about his decision. As expected, the Shark King is initially angry at this news, but when Tubarina stands up for him, he is elated at the fact that his children, having been fighting and arguing with each other all their lives, have agreed on something and so, allows Veto to study arts at boarding school.

From that point on, Tubarina's opinion of Veto has changed to the point that she won't stop talking about him to Polvina and Ester.

Notes[]

  • Given the title of the episode he is featured in, it can be implied that Veto is older than Tubarina.
  • No mention of Tubarina having a brother has been heard outside of the episode Big Brother. Without having seen the episode, it can be inferred that Tubarina is an only child.
    • With this context in mind, the closest person that Tubarina has to a brother is her cousin, Marcello.
  • Veto has also appeared as a background character in The Carnival at the 7:07 mark talking to Caramelo, albeit with his face obscured.
