The Octopus King is the king of the Octopus Kingdom and the father of Polvina.
He is known in the World of Salacia for his kindness and wisdom. He is also a great diplomat, usually resolving impasses based on an approach of conversation and understanding, which is quite different compared to the Shark King.
Nevertheless, he is also a great warrior, having once faced a school of hungry sharks to save Polvina.
Sometimes, his job as the king of the Octopus Kingdom can be a bit demanding.
Character highlights[]
In Lost, he sees off Polvina alongside her mother, the Octopus Queen, as she goes to her first day of school with Ester.
In The Toy, Polvina shows him a tiny octopus doll and a card that was hidden in her room. He recognises the language on the card as the ancient language of the Abysmal Kingdom. Later, when the Octopus Queen returns, she states that the old Abysmal King visited with the gift when Polvina was a toddler, but because she was ill at the time, he put it away on a shelf and presumably forgot to tell her where he put it. The Octopus King invites Polvina and the girls to come with him to visit the Abysmal Kingdom, unaware that they had just been down there to solve that mystery, meeting the Abysmal Princess Bia while doing so.
